This last Friday, Jess had girl's camp. I took the day off from work to spend with Logan. It was a great day for both of us.
Logan's day started out as normal: breakfast, play, nap. Then, we went hiking to Donut Falls up Big Cottonwood Canyon. It is a really pretty hike and not too far for me to carry Logan. Logan really enjoyed playing by the water and picking up rocks and throwing them back in. He enjoyed it so much, he had a hard time leaving when it was time to go.
After the hike, we went out for lunch at Cafe Rio, then had some secret birthday shopping to do for Jess. To top the day off, we went to a splash park in Eagle Mountain where Logan just ran around playing in the water.
I think Logan had a pretty good day with Dad. I don't often get a lot of days away from work to spend with just me and Logan, so I had to make the most of it. Logan was pretty tired when we got home, but hopefully he had good dreams that night of hanging out with Dad.
